On support we get a lot of calls related to access to the SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal, and user’s access to it.
Even though you have a subscription with SOLIDWORKS (Intercad), the links in the SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal can have locks on them denying you access to what you’ve paid for.
Don’t panic!
All that this is, is you will need to register the most current SOLIDWORKS product in the Customer Portal and you’ll have your access back. SOLIDWORKS do this so they can see who’s keeping up.
So; if you log into the SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal and you can see padlocks on all your links, all you need to do is registry your product by clicking the only link available “Register My Products”

See the image above showing the link.
Once you click this link, you’ll need to enter your serial number…

Then click Next
Now you need to select the version to register, first click the small tick box…

You will then be presented with the versions of SOLIDWORKS, select the highest version available…

If successful, you’ll see this…

Then you’ll be brought back to the Self Service page and all the locks will be gone.
NOTE: this process needs to be done every time SOLIDWORKS releases a new major version.
If you are still getting the padlocks even after you’ve registered your product, please contact Intercad Technical Support on 1800 633 701 or email support@intercad.com.au
